So, What’s your LinkedIn strategy?  It amazes me, yet again, how many recruiters out there aren’t either using LinkedIn or, even worse, use it a lot, but haven’t really thought about the right strategy to really maximize their returns.  Of course, for me to list all of the great tips, strategies and techniques would require a book, as my webinar here is over 3 hours long on the topic.  However, I wanted to share with you some great tips that you should adopt immediately! exclusiveOk. Any recruiter worth their salt (never really knew what that means) knows that if you sell an exclusive, that you dramatically increase your chances of placing or filling that order! Well, that’s all great, but the real question is how to sell it and how to use it right! Most of the time when I hear a recruiter sell it, it is all self serving… In other words, the benefits to doing it are for the recruiter and not really for the client.  If you can get an exclusive it’s also good to sometimes consider discounting the fee, or conversely, if you have to discount a fee, it’s often worth exchanging that negotiation “give in” for an exclusive…… So, how do you do it… Read the rest of this entry »

I often talk about how behind the times the recruiting industry is (at least when it comes to technology). In this episode of Fordyce TV, I share with you the keys for you to unlock the success of the Internet Marketing World!

In this interactive episode, Neil will share why most staffing and recruiting firms are still in the dark ages when it comes to technology.

When you tune in to the new episode of Fordyce TV , learn how you can harness the secrets of Internet marketing to massively grow your business or desk.

“Most recruiter websites were built under the premise of repeat traffic,” explains Neil. “That just does not happen anymore.”

Neil cautions that while “the rest of the world uses landing pages and opt-in email lists to capture their leads,” there is a simple way to set up your landing page and begin your relationship with your list. He’ll also share how to use inexpensive sequential marketing tools to reach each new lead in a whole new way.

“Keep your client communication strong and fun! Learn how to create the easy experience, and not just focus on cliched points of difference like ‘great’ customer service,” he says.

Neil says that with these easy tools, you will keep your name in the forefront of your candidates’ minds without making update calls. Learn to embrace these tips and find out you may have been missing!

This is a great video to supplement your perm negotiation training. It is probably the most requested topic I get. Enjoy!!!

In this fast-paced, highly energetic, information-packed episode, Neil will “go back to the basics” to share a technique that most recruiters, let alone clients, don’t even think about.

“You can never be overpriced when it is always the customer who will later decide if they WANT TO PAY THE PRICE,” he says.

It’s a simple but seldom used close that works almost every time, he adds.

“If what they fear now is true — that you are indeed overpriced — then they will indeed not hire your person later. However, if they are wrong now, then they will be thrilled that they saw your person!”

Neil will share the concept, closes, analogies, and potential scripts that can go along with it. This is a great method that can also incorporate all of your proven “fee closes.”
