Also, if you join their team now, you’ll get your orientation on September 30th in Las Vegas and get to join their national meeting and meet all of the cool other agents, have your vide produced, etc  This is also a great option for current independents!.  Original post:…I had a great vision after I left my last executive post at my previous employer (Yeah, you know, world’s largest HR firm, yada yada yada).  I’ll get to that in a minute.  I had a vision about how I could solve perhaps the single greatest issue that permeates in the minds of all perm recruiters……When I left, I had hundreds of Emails from people wishing me well and asking me to call them when I made my next move!  Many of these were Executive Recruiters.  Not shockingly, Most ERs get a bit fed up, especially when they have been working for a larger company.  The value proposition tends to decrease significantly for them over time once they get trained, etc . In the beginning, most don’t mind (well, too much anyway), giving up 40-65% of their billings to their employer. However, once they establish clients or learn the “secrets”, there is often a lot of resentment over how much they are paying out.  So, most of the phone calls to me were the same. “I’m burnt out and want a change”; “I have not had any new training or  tools in a while”, “I’m looking to go to a smaller, entrepreneurial company”, “I’m looking some place that gives a more fair commission split”, etc.  I would not engage in these discussions, since I have been bound by a non solicit agreement.  However, the majority of the recruiters were people that I worked with years ago and had left my company (at the time) to pursue greener vegetation (you know, “greener grass”). Shockingly, most regretted it, since the grass isn’t often greener!  So, long story short, it hit me that I could build a Perm Empire if I wanted to. I had so many contacts and so many people looking for a different venue. My vision was to create a Virtual Placement firm that I would lead. The firm would give them most of the billings (I’m talking 80%+ payout to THEM); it would provide for ongoing perm specific training; it would give access to the best job boards.  It would provide the legal framework, the back-office/billing support, the marketing  support. It would come with their own state of the art front office system.  BUT, I decided to go into training!  I won’t lie to you. I DID look into it and I was shocked at what I found.  On the good old Internet, I ran across a company called AgentHR (www.independentrecruiting.com)  This company was EXACTLY what I had in my vision. To be honest, I was a little depressed when I saw it!  Well, I decided to have a chat with the founder and we have built a relationship over the past few months.  His company is outstanding and, frankly, it is just a great fit for so many people.    I find perm people to be somewhat vexing. Every person who called me that I knew from years ago, as I mentioned would vent about how they need the right “fit”. I would always end up asking why at this stage in their career and knowledge base would they NOT be pursuing starting their own gig/agency.  I know so many agency owners that swear it is the best move they ever made and have never been happier!!!.. AND I MEAN ALMOST ALL OF THEM!  The vexing part is that most are still afraid, for whatever reason, to go off on their own.  It’s the legal filings and the admin work and , I guess, just all of the work that it takes to get all of the little things in place (and not so little things).  Well, enter AgentHR.  The founder says that they like to attract “Semi-preneurs” and I think that sums it up. It really is the perfect fit for the person who wants the benefits of going out on their own, without the work and risk. The person needs to be able to work independently (even though they will be part of a team of recruiters, just like they were at their old company) and have that perm “entrepreneurial” spirit, but AgentHr can do the rest!  Now, in fair disclosure, I do have a deal worked out with them to receive a small fee should anyone in my network sign up with them.  I don’t have to tell you that, but I will always be up front.  It doesn’t affect my desire to endorse them, as they have created exactly what I would have and I am also more than impressed with their management (also, I will quite possibly be one of the featured trainers, so stay tuned if you want to hear more from me).  I have not yet endorsed any 3rd party company, but I think they really do have just what the doctor ordered for so many of you out there and it is something that you should check out!
